Andalusia’s regional government expects a record 30 million tourists in 2017

Blog finalAt the closing of FITUR, Spain’s international tourism trade fair, which was recently held in Madrid over the third week of January, the President of Andalusia’s regional government said she estimates that there will be an extra 1.5 million tourists visiting the region versus the previous year. This represents an increase of 5%, and at 30 million tourists, a new record number of visitors to the region.

Concurrently, the President of the Patronato de Turismo de la Costa del Sol, the area’s most influential tourism-related business association, announced that he also believes that the record tourism numbers of last year will be even higher in 2017, with an estimated increase in tourists of 2.6% in the province of Malaga.
